Lo que te va a encantar en esta casa
We are a retired couple of math teachers (nobody's perfect). We like:
- a good read (you will find many books, including some in English, on our shelves)
- music (jazz for Yves, classical for Danièle, piling up to quite a few CDs)
- sailing (a common passion)
Yves is a painter.
The garden is a wonderful place to relax and we enjoy eating out from April to October (weather permitting).
Lo que te va a encantar del barrio
We live on a peninsula surrounding by the Golfe du Morbihan (which means 'little sea' in Breton). 200m away, the tiny harbour of Port-Anna is still active, with oysters and fishermen.
You can reach sandy beaches by bicycle and walk around the coastline on paths crisscrossing the area. Close to the beach is a nautical centre where you can rent boats, paddles, kayaks or windsurfing boards, and explore the superb sailing area.
Séné is close to the city of Vannes has a twice weekly market rife with fish, fruits and the fabled kouign-aman (essentially sugar and butter, with a bit of flour to hold everything together. Bad for diet, good for everything else).
Further away, the wonders of the ancient Celt civilisation await, and you must visit the megaliths of Carnac, explore the islands of Arz (the bear) or l'Ile-aux-Moines (the monks). Brittany also boasts beautiful beaches, hiking, castles, fairs, fest noz dancing or music festivals.
There is no way you can tire of the charms of Brittany in one stay !
